My wife and I are renting a apartment until our house is finished being built. We thought the apartment was atleast good enough to stay in for the time being. The problem is the leasing office told us that we would be able to rent a washer and dryer when we moved in but that is not going to happen. The washer and dryer hookup is in the bathroom and the door for the bathroom is to small for the washer and dryer to fit. I called the leasing office about my problem. They said the door should be 30 inches which would be big enough . The door was actually only 23 inches. The smallest washer and dryer I could find was 23 7/8 inches. The leasing office just told me that I couldn’t get a washer and dryer and offered us nothing to accommodate. The winter is coming and walking in the snow to the laundry room was not something we planned on doing while living in this temporary home. Should I ask for lower rent, break the lease, or just ask to be moved to a different apartment?

Well, I’ve finally gotten to the point where I need to move into a “real” office space. I’ve found a wonderful location but the space has two rental units that I’m having the hardest time deciding between. Suite A is on the second floor, has a beautiful bay window that looks out on downtown but is secluded in the back of the building. Suite B is on the first floor, near the elevators & restrooms, has two doors for entry, but has no windows. Which is better? They’re both the same price?

I was contracted by an insurance company to open an office and manage it. They told me to put the lease in my name because they had to many offices to put under the companie’s name. Is there any legal recourse if they cancel my contract to make them responsible for the lease?

There is a big scandal on Wikipedia right now, where one co-founder (Larry Sanger) has called the other co-founder (Jimmy Wales) a liar. Consider the background about Wales — does he lack integrity?

Note to respondents: All of the bullet points above can be substantiated with documented public evidence. I simply did not take the time and space to provide all the links you would need. Furthermore, I omitted several issues even more deplorable, but are based only on hearsay.

we just moved into our apartment a little over 2 months ago and we go to the office at least once a week to turn in our upstairs neighbors for being way too loud at all hours of the night. we found a new place but we need to work something out with our current place. its written that we need to pay at least $1000.00 to break it which seems ridiculous to me considering we’re at the leasing office all the time and our neighbors don’t seem to care. does anyone have any suggestions?
